Junior / U23 World Sprint Championships

The Junior / U23 World Sprint Championships start this Thursday (1 Aug) in Ontario, Canada.  Good luck to Wey paddlers Matt Welch (U23 K2 200) and Jack Childerstone (JK2 200) and the rest of the GB squad.  Start lists / results can be found here (remember that times are 5 hours behind UK time!).   Watch online here.

Wey Junior/U23 get Summer holidays in Canada

The BCU have published the selection for the Junior / U23 World Championships (bottom of the page).   Looks like Jack Childerstone and Matt Welch are going to have summer holidays in Canada (Canoe Niagara 2013) this year!

GWC 400 Club draw winning ticket 115

The GWC 400 Club draw for July was made on  29 June, by Mr. Martyn a WKC grandad. The monthly draw winning ticket was No. 115.

  

We would encourage all members and friends of the GWC clubs to join the GWC 400 Club. All profits go to paying off the Waterside Centre's loans and proposed developments at the Centre.

Full details on how to join can be  found on the Wey Kayak Club website www.weykayak.co.uk  Each 'ticket' costs just £2.00 a month and can be paid for by monthly Standing Order if more convenient.
