Saturday Afternoon junior sessions 13:00

We are going to restart the Saturday 13:00 session on the 13th Sept. This, like the morning session, will cater for beginners up to about marathon Div 7 and will aim to help paddlers progress into racing.  All Juniors are welcome whether you have been paddling regularly or are new to the club.

You are welcome to switch between mornings  and afternoons so you can paddle even if another activity or school event gets in the way of your regular session. The morning session does have more coaches available so if you have no real preference mornings are good!

Any questions please get in touch with Dave Martyn (martyndj@bp.com)

GWC 400 Club

The draw for September 2014 was made on 4 September by a Jackie Payne the MSTG Office Manager. The monthly draw winning ticket for £50 was No. 31 .

We would encourage all members and friends of the GWC clubs to join the GWC 400 Club.  With the granting of the planning permission for the new extensions and with it, the purchase of the total grass area by the Centre on a very long lease,  we are into a new phase of fund raising.

All profits from the 400 Club go to paying off the current Guildford Waterside Centre's loans and fund raising for the new developments at the Centre.

We have now firmed up on the contacts for the works and Main Hall extension will start early in November and the New Kayak Shed in late November. If all goes well and funds come in, we hope to be finished by Easter 2015.

Full details on how to join can be  found on the Wey Kayak Club website www.weykayak.co.uk. They are also attached here.

Each 'ticket' cost just £2.00 a month and can be paid for by monthly Standing Order if more convenient.

There will be a Bonus draw as well as the monthly one in OCTOBER , so get your tickets now and help with the expansion project.
