Thanks to everyone who recorded the distance they paddled over the previous nine days (Saturday 24 May to Sunday 1 June). In all 77 members of Wey Kayak Club completed 2387 km, or 1492 miles in old money. This was registered on the Go Canoeing website. Unfortunately this appears to have taken the website by suprise as it replied with the following message:
We'll wait and see!
Funny as there are lots of names missing, possibly put off by the lack of poster space, because they were competing internationally or maybe they are just keeping their training a secret! I wonder what the true total might have been!

ReplyDeleteWe received your massive total of 1,492 miles through the website last night. Any single mileage registered that is greater than 1,000 miles requires someone to manually verify it. I can confirm this was verified shortly after it was submitted and was live on the website last night!
