Time to relax but don't miss an opportunity to show off your guns to the girls.
Jack and Ed together with juniors from other clubs spent half term at the Milfontes Canoeing Village near Lisbon in Portugal. There are two hotels, one right next to the training facility and the other a few miles away which is also on the beach and has a gym, spa and two swimming pools.
"With three training sessions a day we were glad to be at the second hotel to relax in the pool and where we could step out of our room straight onto the beach! Ed Cox and Ian Wynne kept us boys hard at work with three sessions a day which included 16 km distance training sessions in our K1s then K2 sessions with different partners."
The boats were supplied by Plastex so it was so only necessary to bring along paddles, spare kit your coach and a toothbrush, although if you can't bring along your own personal home-grown olympic medalist to coach apparently Birgit Fisher is there to put you through your paces.
Ollie Harding UK distributor for Plastex took out a group from Longridge for a training camp at the same time. Perhaps we are missing a trick.
